Summer Legal Internship Program



At TNJFON, we are committed to working with the next generation of lawyers dedicated to immigrant justice. The goal of our Legal Internship Program is to provide law students with the opportunity to work directly with immigrant clients, evaluating legal immigration options, and preparing applications, briefs, and motions for submission to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the Memphis Executive Office for Immigration Review (Immigration Court), and the Board of Immigration Appeals.

The ideal candidate will have strong research and writing skills; the capacity to work independently; the ability to work sensitively with clients having diverse cultures, lifestyles, and faiths; and an interest in experiencing hands-on non-profit legal services. We ask for a commitment of at least 30 hours/ week for 6 weeks for the Summer Internship program.
