Increased demand for TNJFON services requires increased staffing

Tennessee Justice for Our Neighbors recently hired Negar Ahmadi as a legal clerk to help with our Afghan clinics. Negar was born and raised in theKurdistan region of Iran. She moved to Nashville in 2014 as an immigrant. Her experience as a young refugee mother inspired her to find ways to help people like herself.

In 2017, Negar moved to Massachusetts where she earned her Masters in Art Education from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in May 2021. While attending school and living in Amherst, Negar helped members of theimmigrant and refugee communities living there. After earning her degree, she returned to Nashville to continue this work. In addition to her teaching experience, she is also fluent in English, Kurdish, Farsi/Dari and Arabic. Negar was a volunteer translator in our first Afghan clinics earlier this year. Welcome Negar!
