Join us in welcoming our fall interns!

We are excited to introduce our 2022 fall interns Meagan Lombardi, Patrick Flaherty, and Vanessa Demaral.

Meagan Lombardi, Capstone Intern

Meagan is a senior at Vanderbilt University studying Human and Organizational development. She is the oldest of four siblings and grew up just down the road in Hendersonville, TN. In her free time, Meagan likes to run, travel, and spend time with friends and family.

I chose to intern at TNJFON because of their mission… I’m looking forward to getting to know all of my co-workers and helping the organization in making a tangible impact.

Patrick Flaherty, Ingram Scholar

Patrick is a senior at Vanderbilt University studying Economics and Spanish. He has worked with the immigrant community since arriving in Nashville in 2019, and is looking forward to helping with legal clinics and translations.

As a lifelong believer that immigrants make the US strong, I am passionate about immigrant rights and reform.

Vanessa Demaral, Legal Intern

Vanessa is a 3rd-year law student at Vanderbilt University. She is originally from Boston, MA, and previously worked as a fourth grade teacher in Los Angeles and a medical assistant at Planned Parenthood in South Texas. In her free time, she likes to read, try new food, and hang out with her dogs Jinx and Lava.

I decided to intern at TNJFON after participating in the Woodbine Immigration Clinic last year. This experience gave me the opportunity to see firsthand the great work that TNJFON does, and allowed me to learn a lot about immigration law and practice. I am so excited to learn more.
